Wood Filler

Wood Filler like Wooden Putty but more lower viscosity, since only serves as filling wood pores. Solid percentage of wood filler and pigment also lower than Wooden Putty. Some paint manufacturers classify wood filler become one with the Wooden Putty. But some producer make it separate too, because they have special purpose or a specific request from the customer.

Since wood filler is similar to the wooden putty, then the manufacture of wood filler can be diluted from wooden putty. This is usually done by the painter if their need for speed in making furniture. We'd better be careful if doing dilution, because it will reduce the percentage of resin or binder. If the percentage binder reduce it will influence to the paint adhesion. This only occurs in the wood that  have large pores. If the wood pores more smaller, wood filler can be covered perfectly by base coat or sanding sealer. So the adhesion of paint isn't feared again.

The application of Wood Filler also like Wooden Putty, can use the putty knife or spatula. There is also a Wood Filler which applied with wiped. But different application also different paint components used. Course paint components affect the price of Wood Filler. Wood Filler water based very much cheaper when compared with solvent based wood filler.

In the transparent color system, use water based wood filler should be very be careful. We've been mention in Wooden Putty section. But if in a solid color paint there is no big problem because the wood filler will be closed completely. And as long as Wood Filler can hold the paint on it.
